1) Remember that you’re moving to a tropical climate. You definitely won’t need heavy clothing except for rare occasions such as traveling to the summit of Mauna Kea or for traveling back to the mainland. Don’t make the mistake of bringing a ton of winter clothing!
2) Make sure you know your driver’s license expiration date and have all your docs in order. Hawaii is very particular that your name on your social security card matches your prior license!
3) Make sure you have all your medical records (or have access to them) especially if you’re enrolling children in school.
